GFLC Look Back: T. Boone Pickens
Nov 7, 2012 || OpenMarkets || No Comments
The next great challenge for President Obama and the U.S. Congress following election season is tackling the fiscal cliff. In an interview with CNBC today, legendary energy investor T. Boone Pickens argued that there’s a role for energy in solving the fiscal cliff, calling energy “a big factor,” and expressing the need for the U.S. to stop buying oil from OPEC.
At the Global Financial Leadership Conference in 2009, Pickens shared his view on the natural gas role in growing the U.S. economy, and how it could bring the United States closer to energy independence.
The 2012 GFLC begins next week. You can follow the conference on OpenMarkets, and by following #GFLC12 on twitter.
