The Managed Futures industry  wrapped up another round of awards June 17 at the 3rd Annual Managed Futures Pinnacle Awards sponsored by CME Group and BarclayHedge. Fourteen firms took home awards for single year, three and five-year performance in different categories. Newton Capital Partners from New York was the night’s only multi-award winner, taking home awards for Five-year Best Diversified Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA) (Less than $500M) and Three-year Best Discretionary CTA. Two Australian firms collected prizes — Boronia Capital and GMO — and the evening was capped with David Harding of Winton Capital winning the Pinnacle Achievement award.

Futures magazine has previously highlighted some of this year’s winners.

Attain Capital’s blog published an interview with Harding, and previously reviewed his career.

Beyond the winners, the night was headlined by comedian and impressionist Frank Caliendo, who served as the event’s emcee. Versions of George W. Bush, Charles Barkley, Barack Obama, John Madden and Morgan Freeman made appearances before and after the awards announcements.
